IML

IML is an acronym that stands for In-Mold Labeling, a process in which a label is applied onto a product during manufacturing.
The machineries we supply are designed to process both in-mold labeling and in-mold decoration, printing on plastic materials and films, single or double-layer. The product is decorated by the injection press and is protected against scratches and atmospheric agents. In particular, we can guarantee resistance against UV-rays.
This mechanism allows for a shorter manufacturing process and no need for intermediate products to label, thus saving space, production time and costs. Since the label is made from the same material as the finished product, there is also no need to remove it from the body when recycling.
Our machineries can produce a wide range of applications, and are designed for the processing of different plastic materials. Our labels are suitable not only for plain surfaces, but also for curved or rounded ones, and can be applied to bottles, snack packs, food containers, but also plastic chairs, tables and packaging.
